Words hurt more than Stones

Whoever said that "Sticks and stones can hurt me, but words cannot" must have been born dumb. Words hurt.. They do hurt the most when it comes from someone whom you love and admire, someone from whom you care for, someone from whom you had so much expectations.

Why do we have this?? - This unexplained sorrow, where things looks depressing, unfamiliar and unwished for. This unexplained period of loneliness where everyone seem to be far and the whole world seems recluse.. Is this me or something else?? I don't know for sure. Looks like a musing that has come a long way.

Words do have an impact.Starting from the class room bully to the corporate honcho, everyone depends on this phenomena to gain control over us. The words from Simon and his colleagues in the recent idol, may or may not have an effect on the contestants. Those words may or may not goad them for a better performance or worse, but it did help in bringing in large audiences to these shows. People love to laugh @ other's fallacies, but don't bother to look into themselves.

Friends may become foes just becoz someone had something bad to say about the other. Mis-communication is the main reason for this debacle. The inability of the person to look at himself from the other's perspective also leads to misunderstanding and thereby loose words. Words set aloof are more dangerous than loose canons.

In this internet age, where a message can be sent across several continents at a moment's notice, communicating wisely is the order of the day. And when it comes to friendz, one must be as careful as to be treading on egg-shells.. You never know when the next onez gonna crack.
